Alright!!! It's the end of the world! No, it's not! It's probably the end of F/A-18. Joking. The new flying technique by Masstadon is simply incredible. It turns YOUR F/A-18 into any plane you want - even a stealth!!! BEST OF ALL the plane hasn't got to be in the mission, you can fly a stealth in Hawaii!
Special codes are entered into the pilot Callsign field of the pilot interface. All the codes are Case Sensitive and must be typed in the following format: use:CODE. CODE Refers to the type of Aircraft. For example: use:F117 will fly a stealth.
F/A-18 Hornet = FA18
F-14D Tomcat = F14D
A-10 Thunderbolt II = A10A
E-2C Hawkeye = E2CA
F-117 Stealth Fighter = F117
E-3A Sentry = AWAC
B-2 Stealth Bomber = B2AA
B-52 Stratofortress = B52G
Boeing 727 = B727
Douglas DC-10 = DC10
Drone Target = DRNE
MiG-21 Fishbed = MG21
MiG-23 Flogger = MG23
SU27 Flanker = SU27
F-16C Falcon = F16C
Tu95-Bear = TU20
This cheat is quite like the cheat above. The difference is, your F/A-18 is flown by the computer, and you fly any other plane seen in the mission. Instead of writing "use:" we write "fly:" in the callsign field. This is the format: fly:CODE-ID . The codes are given in the cheat above. The ID can be any number. Eg. 00, 01, 03, 12, etc. The ID is always of two digits. Through CODE, we choose which type of plane to fly. Through ID, we choose which plane of this particular type to fly. For example: fly:MIG23-02 tells means the 3rd MIG-23 Flogger in the mission.
But this should be done when F/A-18 KOREA is freshly installed: *Suppose there are two pilots. Alpha and Beta*
1. Alpha registers himself ONLY with Name, CallSign, and BLAH BLAH.
2. Then he exits F/A-18 Korea. He copies the KOREA.cfg to his own private folder. (Backup)
3. Beta does the steps 1 and 2.
4. When Alpha wants to play, he can copy his KOREA.cfg. Start F/A-18 Korea and voila.
5. After a successful mission, he can keep the updated KOREA.cfg in his own private folder.
6. Beta can also do 3-5 steps.
7. If a pilot dies, he will simply overide the current KOREA.cfg with a backup.
Do you want to turn your hornet into a Flying Shuttle? Well, it's quite easy if you practice. Here's how you CAN:
This technique was given to me by Gorilla who has gone 100,000 ft up. Want to see him going 100,000 ft? Visit the Replay Room. The technique has been refined to suit pilots' needs. The replay above was flown in an SU-27 Flanker. Try this out (not so high) in a hornet.
1. Take no loadouts and start a mission.
2. Take off and fly up and up and up.
3. When you reach maximum ceiling height, drop down, press Delete once, and keep going down until you reach maximum speed. Find out each plane's ceiling height at the Planes Info and Spec page. The maximum speed is when you can't go any faster (1100 knots or so)
4. Pull up quickly because you are now near ground level.
5. Point the nose up to 90 degrees.
6. You'll reach up and above 50,000 ft.
You can select two nuclear bombs in absolutely any mission. In preflight while selecting the loadout, click on the right of the Empty row. Keep doing so until an X appears. Select two nuclear bombs on the wing pylons (2 & 8) even though they are greyed out. This cheat was submitted by Masstadon
Do you want in-flight re-fueling? It's hard, tough, and I have not successfully done it. Try, maybe you will be luckier. A pilot did it. Go and find an enemy TU-20 Bear Bomber. Stick around it really close. So close that you're almost touching it. Stick around long, even till the thing reaches it's base. Your plane SHOULD start shaking & gaining weight. Look down in your cockpit. Did the fuel increase?
